Something about Cold Weather, Makes One Want to Fall In Love.
...or stay warm. Baby it's cold outside! Isn't just a song title.
The following is a list of five cold weather date ideas to keep you warm, or at least out of the cold. How warm it gets is up to you.
Medieval Times. Arundel Mills, 7000 Arundel Mills Circle, Hanover MD. Go back in time to this indoor delight where you can call your female servant a wench and use pick-up lines such as "what a nice set of chalices you have" and "what is a princess like you doing in a dungeon like this?" Cheering on your favorite knight, eat with your hands and enjoy the show. Conveniently located by the casino too as an added benefit.
Lucky Strike. Gallery Place 701 7th St NW Washington D.C. This places brings bowling from the 1970s to 2016. Projection screens of your favorite sports, sleek floors, modern upscale bar, sound system and wait, and oh wait there is bowling too. Sports, balls and beers.
Ashburn Alamo Drafthouse Cinema. Besides craft beers and a wide variety menu that is delivered to your table while watching all current new releases, Alamo offers what they call their Signature Series. Everything from Back to the Future series to other horror movie obscurities to classic slumber party movies to tempt you into getting out in the snow. Bar Louie is nearby as well as an added incentive.
Comet Ping Pong. 5037 Connecticut Ave NW Washington D.C. In this warehouse-style digs, there references to space and in the summer a nice patio (unfortunately in the winter I don't think you will be sitting there huddled up with your date), however the best part is in the back past the kitchen. A room of comet ping pong tables to entertain you as the ping pongs fly like you are in the movie Dodgeball. If you are lucky, you can catch a band too.
The HotSpot. Stryker Square, 3232 Old Pickett Road VA. Restaurants can be tedious on dates when there is pressure to talk or in today's world can be frustrating to get your date off their phone. Why not put them to work to cook their own food at this pan-Asian kitchen with hot pot dishes in a modern atmosphere. See what kind of sauces your date can mix up, spicy or sweet for your palette. Try out this place for a winter date that can be entertaining as well.
